One man and his dog, Colonel Stapleton Cotton and Tinker were responsible for the foundation of the first WI in Britain at Llanfairpwll, Anglesey, in 1915.

Un gŵr a’i gi, sef y Cyrnol Stapleton Cotton a Tinker, oedd yn gyfrifol am sefydlu cangen gyntaf Sefydliad y Merched yn Llanfairpwll, Ynys Môn, yn 1915.
