1865: Tyddynnwr tlawd dan ormes yw Dafydd Rhys, sy’n ymfudo gyda’i deulu a’i ffrindiau o gymoedd de Cymru i Batagonia, gydag addewid am hunanlywodraeth a’r hawl i siarad Cymraeg heb ennyn cosb yn obaith iddynt. Ond a fydd Dafydd yn canfod nerth i arwain ei bobl yn wyneb yr addewidion a dorrir, y trasedïau teuluol a’r trychinebau naturiol?
Welsh Valleys 1865: Oppressed and impoverished smallholder Dafydd Rhys and his family and friends emigrate to Patagonia, where they are promised autonomy, and freedom to speak their own language without punishment – everything that 19th century Wales cannot give them. Can Dafydd find the strength to lead his people against the broken promises, tragedies, and natural disasters they face?
