Mae Stella yn dyheu am gael dianc o’i chartref cyfyng – aelwyd y mae’n ei rhannu gyda’i modryd. Daw arian annisgwyl i’w rhan, a chaiff ffoi i’r Unol Daleithiau a gwireddu’i breuddwyd. Ond yn ddisymwth, daw galwad o gartref sy’n ei hysgwyd i’r byw.
Stella is longing to break out of the confining home she shares with her aunt, finding succour in the sumptuous colours of the knitting wool she is stockpiling. An unexpected windfall allows her to fly to America in search of her dreams. But just when she least expects it, a call comes from home that shakes her to her core.
