Almost a Catastrophe is the sequel to Jan Corke’s 2019 autobiography A Hidden Home in the Gwydyr Forest which described the restoration of a remote and ancient cottage in Snowdonia, and which ran to two impressions. This volume records the unique and happy experiences of the Corke family during their time on the island of Malta from 1963 to 1966.
