A historical love story based on the lives of the Powell family of Nanteos mansion near Aberystwyth, Ceredigion. Set in the 1750s, at a time of great turbulence in the area which was nicknamed ‘The Wild West’, the book sets the personal tragedy of the gentry family against the background of the Cardiganshire lead wars.
