One day the mole sisters were doing nothing. After all sometimes it is important to do nothing they said. They were looking up at the sky sitting propped up against a tree when a bee flew by. As is usual with bees, this bee was busy collecting pollen and nectar from flowers. In fact it was too busy to even stop and have a chat with the mole sisters.

It’s a lovely day and the mole sisters are taking a walk. Unfortunately their pretty sunny day turns into a very rainy day. The mole sisters are quite sure that the rain won’t last but is does. In fact it simply pours and the two little furry creatures have to make a run for home.

One day the mole sisters see something truly wonderful in a clearing in the woods; they see a fairy ring of little toadstools. They are very quiet but the fairies are not at the ring at the moment so the mole sisters decide to pretend to be fairies themselves.

It is a perfectly beautiful moonlit night and the mole sisters go boating on a pond in a little leaf boat. As they lie in the bottom of the boat looking up at the full moon they see a brilliant shooting star flash across the sky. Quickly the two little moles make a wish and before you know it their wish has come true – they are on the moon!

The mole sisters live in a hole in the ground but they venture out into the interesting world above ground all the time. After all there is so much to see and do in this world and it would be dull to stay underground all the time. One thing the mole sisters are not is dull.

The mole sisters are in the mood for a change. Instead of going up the left hand tunnel, which is what they usually do, they decide to go up the right hand tunnel. When they get to the surface they decide to do something different again. They are going to go up, up the stems of some lovely golden wheat. So up they go until they reach the ripe heads of the wheat waving in the wind.

The mole sisters are looking something. They don’t know what they are looking for but that does not really matter for they will know it when we see it. Better still they are sure to have a splendid time looking for whatever it is and that is indeed what happens.

It is a hot day and the Mole Sisters are feeling very hot indeed as they lie panting in their burrow. Up above ground things are not much better. why even the dandelion is feeling the heat for there hasn’t been a nice cool breeze for weeks. What are the sisters to do?

The mole sisters are in a philosophic mood today. They are asking the question Who are we? Being determined little moles they then set out to try to find the answer to this important question. They try being fish, and determine that as they don’t live in water, they cannot possibly be fish. They think about whether they are birds but come to the conclusion that they cannot be birds.

The Mole Sisters are on their way home when it starts to snow. What fun! They stop to build snow moles, then continue on their way, only to realize they are lost. Seeking shelter inside a cave, the Mole Sisters hang with the bats and marvel at the stunning stalactites.
