Professor David Walker, archaeologist, should be having another idyllic summer, but the problems just keep mounting up. His marriage looks as rocky as the ground he’s meant to be surveying. Inspector Sandy Bell has taken to heaving crockery to resolve his marital problems. For Inspector Bob McInnis, marriage is looking rosy, if he can keep his mind on his fiancé.
