Pobl dau bentref a dwy ardal roddodd fod i gwmni’r Moto Coch ganrif union yn ôl. Os bu pentref cydweithredol erioed yn holl hanes Cymru, pentref Trefor oedd hwnnw, a chofleidiwyd ei athroniaeth gan y pentrefi chwarelyddol cyfagos ym Mro’r Eifl. Ryw hanner canrif cyn ffurfio’r cwmni bysus sefydlwyd Cymdeithas Gydweithredol Gweithwyr yr Eifl â’i siopau, ei iard lo a’i becws.
The people of two villages and two localities gave birth to the ‘Moto Coch’ company exactly 100 years ago. If ever there was a cooperative village, then that was Trefor, and the principle was embraced by the surrounding quarry villages on the Llŷn Peninsula. Half a century before the bus company was formed a local cooperative society opened shops, a coal yard and a bakery.
