The medieval and early modern Welsh bardic grammars (documents that describe the Welsh language and poetic forms) circulated in manuscript for centuries, and were continuously revised by bards and scholars. This book traces the transmission of these texts, and explores the historical contexts in which subsequent revisions arose.
