Actors' Crucible, The

Gall ardal Port Talbot honni mai hi yw prifddinas actorion Cymru, gan fod cynifer o actorion nodedig wedi eu magu yn y fro ers y cyfnod rhwng y ddau ryfel byd, actorion megis Richard Burton, Anthony Hopkins a Michael Sheen. Mae'r gyfrol yn cynnwys arolwg o'r ffenomen hon, ynghyd ag arolwg o hanner cant o actorion o'r fro, gan ystyried yn ogystal gyfraniad y sêr hyn i'w cymuned.

The town of Port Talbot has long been seen (quite literally)as synonymous with the steel industry. Yet it also has another claim to fame as the actors' capital of Wales. It has produced a remarkable number of actors since the inter-war years. Richard Burton, Anthony Hopkins and Michael Sheen head the glittering cast but there are many others.
