Bwriad y llyfr yw dathlu hanner can mlwyddiant UMCB. Bydd y gyfrol yn cynnwys rhagymadrodd ar 1976-84 a’r protestiadau a’r gwrthdaro (ffyrnig ar brydiau) a arweiniodd at sefydlu undeb Gymraeg annibynnol. Roedd y cyfnod sefydlu’r Undeb yn nodweddiadol o gyfnod protestiadau iaith a’r bwriad, yn ogystal ag adrodd stori sefydlu UMCB, yw rhoi’r datblygiadau yn eu cyd-destun gwleidyddol cenhedlaethol.This book celebrates the 50th anniversary of UMCB. The book includes an introduction on 1976-84 and the protests and clashes (fierce at times) that led to establishing an independent Welsh union. The period that the union was set up was typical of the language-protest era and the intent, as well as telling the story of UMCB, is to put the developments in their political national context.
