This is the first substantial collection of Twm o’r Nant’s poems since Isaac Foulkes’s edited volume in 1874. Here we get a flavour of the fun of the anterlute, in speeches, dialogues and songs, harsh satire on the horrors of the world, powerful expressions of religious teachings and experiences, and various poems based on the poet’s own frequent troubles.
