Y gobaith yw y bydd y Cwpan Ryder yn dod â chydnabyddiaeth i Gymru fel lle gwych i chwarae golff. Yn 1888 daeth chwech o bobl at ei gilydd i ffurfio clwb golff yn nhref lan môr Dinbych-y-pysgod yn sir Benfro, a dyna ddechrau clybiau golff yng Nghymru. Ceir y n y gyfrol hon hynt a hanes golffio yng Nghymru yn ystod y 120 mlynedd diwethaf.The hope is that the Ryder Cup will bring world recognition that Wales is a great place to play golf. In 1888 six people decided to form a golf club in the seaside town of Tenby in Pembrokeshire, in the south-west of Wales. The story of the progress of the sport through the last 120 years or so is a fascinating one.
