This beautifully illustrated story is an adaptation of the Welsh legend of Cantre’r Gwaelod, the lost area of Wales which disappeared beneath the sea. This drowned land was once a pleasant and prosperous kingdom, its low-lying fields protected from the waves by a high sea wall.
